- Mad Men season finale (and all episodes leading to it) = i am still totally sad this season is over but also totally omggggglorddddddy
- white anchovies = A+ always
- capitalism: a love story = B- some interesting parts but the cleveland tourism video was so easily the highlight. look it up on the youtube if you don't believe me.
- cowgy's rabbit confit = Woah slow braising a thing in fat should not be a Thing, but it is totally a Thing.
- ha-lu = A+ would eat there again
- cucina nueva cookbook club dinner = yes! i even cooked savoury food and it was not terrible or too stressful.
- robert forster = what a great dude and also nice evening with the greatest of sean pollards.
- YDC5 launch = finally! excellent job Tfids. Especially that dwight, he was so great.
- ZOO! We went to the zoo! It was brief but outstanding. How good is Africa at animals? Geez. Observe:

Holy shit these sons of bitches are UNSTOPPABLE:
Slugs are hermaphrodites, having both female and male reproductive organs.
Once a slug has located a mate, they encircle each other and sperm is exchanged through their protruded genitalia. A few days later the slugs lay around 30 eggs into a hole in the ground, or beneath the cover of an object such as a fallen log.
Apophallation is a commonly seen practice among many slugs. In apophallating species, the penis curls like a cork-screw and during mating often becomes entangled in the mate's genitalia. Apophallation allows the slugs to separate themselves by one or both of the slugs chewing off the other's penis. Once its penis has been removed, the slug is still able to mate using only the female parts of its reproductive system.

| what did i do in october? |

I went to the movies! Saw the Woody Allen / Larry David film Whatever Works and I enjoyed it. It was good to see a)A reasonable new but typical Woody Allen film, and b)Larry David not do really painful Larry David-esque things.
I had a nice film and dinner evening with Tristan & Danica featuring Rachel Getting Married. Film = okay, Anne Hathaway = still nahhh, Company = A++!
Uhh I can't be bothered continuing in that style, some other stuff also happened like Rhysie's bday, cushion-making, Baby Bea's chubby legs, bloody marys, Restaurant Wars, buying of tickets for the millions of good tours coming up, Cantina, Alda's, Baby Bea's tree party, white anchovies, all motown girlbands all the time, the usual television goodness (although my concerns over the office increase daily) and a whole lot of counting down to holidaysssssss (this continues)

today i took my bestguy a picnic lunch in the park and we saw an earthworm crawl out of the ground and look around and then sink back in it was AMAZING A+++++

Lucky for you September, you have managed to come good with the sunshine for your final day. KEEP IT UP, PLEASE OCTOBER. So as happens most years my September became pretty fixated on the weather and seasons and flowers and the colour yellow. Other great things have been:

I finally watched Choke which was a bit disappointing, and last night went to see Funny People which I thought was great. I started to watch John Adams but fell asleep in the first episode, woops. Also I started to watch Eagle vs Shark but could not get through the first half hour. Toooo annoying! Most of the television greats have come back this month too! The Office, Parks and Recreation, Peep Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm are all KILLING it. Mad Men.. well I don't need to go on about Mad Men again (but I will, if you want to talk about it). The same goes for Top Chef. KILLING it. YAY TV.
Mostly I've listened to Single Ladies on repeat and the few really good (i.e. Kanye) tracks off Blueprint 3. Pyow Pyow Pyow! Also: Cass McCombs, Diana Ross, Deep Dark Woods.
I am still reading (or not reading, as the case really is) Shop Class as Soul Craft. It's nothing against the book, when I read it I really enjoy it but I just haven't read anything in a loooong time. I should probably stop rewatching old Seinfeld episodes and read books instead.

If you cannot work out how to put a CD into your computer, it is time for you to just retire okay? It is NOT that difficult. Secondly if you ask for my help to burn stuff to a cd (after I have also helped you put the disc in the drive, obviously), hows about you PAY ATTENTION SO I DON'T HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN IN 5 MINUTES TIME. FUCK.
And I love my boss but if she says I LOOOOVE THIS GREY WEATHER one more fucking time I am quitting. It's goddamn spring, it is not a time for hailstorms. FUCK.
In other news I had a really good weekend and pretty much loved everyone I saw! Especially those with tiiiiiiiiiiiiiny feet! (I squeezed them, they were tiny.) |

Hey sportsfans! Have you ever thought about the West Coast Eagles as MUPPET BABIES? I do quite a lot hey, it is a good time. My favourite Muppet Baby Eagles would definitely be Beau Waters for obvious reasons (#1 favourite), NicNat also for obvious reasons (hilarious, also already quite muppety) and maybe ... Hurn? He kindof looks like a baby in a weird balding way. Kerr and LeCras also I think would make a good team of Muppet Babies - so many pranks from those little guys.
